Jupiter with a Naked Eye
Date: 20th May, 19 | Time: 9:54 pm
| Place: Mahabaleshwar is a hill station in India's forested Western
Ghats range, south of Mumbai | Elevation: 1,353 m
Jupiter currently is in the Zodiac Sign of Scorpio.
Jupiter in one sign stays for approximately a year. It takes about 12 years to travel through all 12 Zodiac signs. Changes Sign
once a year.
When the below-given picture was taken, Jupiter and Moon
were in the same Zodiac sign of Scorpio forming Gaj Kesari Yoga (Yoga in
Vedic Astrology, Sidereal) with its conjunction. (When Moon and Jupiter is
together in one Zodiac Sign)
I could see Jupiter with naked eyes because I was at a
height of 1,353 m on this hill station, right.
The dot is Jupiter! And no, it did not look like a Star; it
was a red and golden big dot right besides the Moon.
Forming a Gaj Kesari Yoga (Since two benefices are involved
here i.e Moon & Jupiter, where Moon represents the mind and Jupiter
represent divine grace.) Gajakesari yoga is simply the the position of moon and
jupiter from each other. Whenever Moon and Jupiter are 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th
place from themselves gajakesari yoga occurs.
The five brightest planets - Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn -
have been known since ancient times and can easily be seen with the naked eye
if one knows when and where to look.
Application used for picture #3 is SkyView Lite (It shows the alignment of the Moon and Jupiter in the Zodiac belt of Scorpio.
